Overview
IS71015B aims to offer students at masters level the opportunity to develop skills in applied audio and graphics programming through a series of lectures and lab sessions. The topics delivered in this module cover creative software development and a selection of topics such as computer vision, using sensors and hardware such as depth cameras, approaches to data visualisation and technologies and protocols for networked experiences.
Objectives:
- Program sound and graphics software
- Build interactive programs that utilize external hardware or different networking protocols
- Utilize computational techniques related to computer vision
- Develop small prototypes
- Critique personal creative practice within the wider context of creative coding
- Research, plan and develop larger creative software projects
